Capable of creating bevels up to 45 degrees, it can handle A-, V-, X-, K-, and Y-shaped bevels, perfect for preparing plates for welding. Built for maximum stability, the unit’s sturdy aluminum design, combined with high-end direct drive motors, ensures fast and precise cuts. This machine is built for long, unmanned runs, handling different plate thicknesses effortlessly with its modular cutting bed that extends up to 36 meters (120 feet). It can cut multiple projects in one go, optimizing material usage through efficient nesting. The machine’s ability to run overnight and handle various plate thicknesses without supervision means less downtime and fewer labor requirements.

AUTOMATIC BUFFERING AND MEASURING FOR SMOOTH, OVERNIGHT OPERATIONS

Automatic buffering and measuring make it so much easier to run longer, even overnight, with minimal manual interference. It allows operators to set up multiple jobs on the table at once, and the system provides an overview of the required nozzles so the machine can handle everything on its own. With automatic rotation and plate alignment, nestings are adjusted based on how the plate is loaded—no need to pick it up and reposition it. Plates are measured directly on the cutting deck. Simply enter the approximate position, and the machine does the rest. Even better, operators can add new plates and new jobs during production without stopping the process.

NEST

Efficient nesting on 3x6 meter (10'x20') plates not only maximizes material usage but also significantly reduces scrap. The automated, paperless work preparation process ensures that nesting layouts are optimized, minimizing waste and manual intervention. You can oversee all jobs and timings across multiple machines in one view. Programs are easily assigned and balanced automatically with a single click, or manually adjusted by dragging and dropping between machines or from the queue.

SCHEDULE

Show your operators exactly what to run next. Works preparation can schedule nestings seamlessly, and the system even shows if the job can be finished in the planned time by giving expected production durations. It also checks if all the consumables are ready, ensuring the operator doesn't run into issues during the job. Especially useful during night shifts when the office isn’t available for support.

MEASURE & BUFFER

Plate Buffering makes life easier by letting operators set up multiple jobs on the table at once. The Buffer Overview shows exactly what nozzles are needed, so as long as everything's available, the machine can run without needing any manual intervention. With the Rotation and Plate Alignment features, operators can rotate the nesting right in the software, based on how the plate is loaded—no need to pick it up and adjust it again. Plus, the Automatic Measurement feature quickly figures out the plate’s exact position, so you don’t have to stop the process to add new jobs to the buffer.

Operators can easily navigate intuitive controls, and Voortman’s pre-set cutting parameters allow for easy, repeatable cuts with automatic selection and simple adjustments for any material. WE ENSURE SAFE UNLOADING WHILE MAINTAINING CONTINUOUS PROCESSING

The V353 prioritizes safety during operation, especially when loading and unloading sheets while processing multiple buffered jobs. Multiple safety scanners continuously monitor the surroundings and are able to detect objects like individuals, pallets, and lifting equipment both in front of and behind the housing, as well as above the cutting deck, preventing potential collisions.

The system divides the scanned areas into warning and stop zones: entering a warning zone triggers an alert to the operator, while entering a stop zone halts the machine completely, interrupting the laser beam. Once the area is cleared, the machine automatically resets and resumes production safely. This system allows for high-speed operation, even with 1G gantry acceleration, while keeping the workspace secure and risk-free.
