Switching between straight and beveled nozzles is quick and automatic, while a vision system monitors nozzle status and a built-in brush keeps them clean. The 24-position nozzle handler allows for long, uninterrupted cutting. If interrupted, the Resume Function picks up exactly where it left off to reduce waste. Safety scanners monitor the surroundings, stopping the machine if something gets too close. Its enclosed design blocks laser reflections, with sensors ensuring doors are closed before operation.

Back on track in a split second

The Resume Function makes it easy to pick up right where you left off, minimizing product and material loss. It guides operators to the exact spot where the beam stopped, using real-time cutting data to keep interruptions and damage to a minimum.

Safe to and around the machine

The cutting base acts as a barrier on the non-operational side to keep people at a safe distance. Safety scanners constantly monitor the surroundings. They scan for objects, including people and pallets, and check above the cutting deck for possible collisions. Each zone has a warning and stop area: entering the warning zone triggers an alert, while entering the stop zone halts the machine and interrupts the laser. Once clear, the machine resets and resumes processing automatically.

Benefit from long periods of unmanned production

The machine's 24-position nozzle handler allows long periods of uninterrupted cutting without manual intervention. Mounted on the gantry, it combines switching, cleaning, and vision systems to maximize uptime, reduce errors, and ensure high-quality cuts.

Automatic plate buffering

Set up multiple jobs on the table with the Buffer Overview showing required nozzles to ensure smooth, unmanned processing. VACAM measures plates directly on the cutting deck—just input the approximate position, and the machine does the rest without stopping production. If the plate is not perfectly aligned, VACAM automatically rotates and recalculates nestings to fit.

Don't worry about quality

Automatically switch between straight and beveled nozzles with quick servo-driven changeovers and auto-adjusts for perfect cutting height. The vision system monitors nozzle status, ensuring the correct nozzle, proper roundness, and laser alignment and a built-in brush cleans the nozzle before storing it in the fully enclosed handler.

Easily distribute tasks between your machines

Voortman’s Load Manager simplifies planning nests and tracking job progress. This tool gives you a complete view of jobs and timings across multiple machines, allowing you to automatically assign and balance programs with just a click. You can also drag and drop tasks between machines or from the queue. Plus, you’ll receive automatic updates when a job is finished, ensuring everything stays organized

Facilitate mixing of products, projects and customers

During the unloading and sorting process, it's common for work orders to get mixed during planning to save time and materials. The Color Offload module helps by color-coding parts and grouping them by customer, work order, or factory routing. Operators can also flag parts with quality issues, ensuring substandard items are rejected and rescheduled for future nests.

Keeps the laser contained

To keep laser light contained while the housing moves over the plate, we've added a multi-layer curtain between the plate and the laser protection housing. This curtain is fully sealed for all the materials and thicknesses the machine can handle, and if it needs replacing, just open a hatch in the housing. Sensors monitor the curtain’s presence, ensuring the machine won’t operate unless it’s properly in place.

Vacam controls all machines

It is continually evaluated and improved with customer feedback and supported through updates and the support of a full software department to maximize advances in the way software can improve the efficiency of Voortman machine hardware. There are many benefits to having full control of machine operation software. After an operator learns how to use VACAM on one machine, they’ll easily be able to operate another Voortman machine since all use the same user-friendly software.

Optimize utilization of remnants

Operators can quickly measure various remnants by setting a rectangular corner as the zero point. The plate verification feature checks the outside contours of the nest swiftly, all under the operator’s supervision. If the nest doesn’t fit perfectly, operators can easily adjust its position on the plate, ensuring everything is just right!

Minimize downtime with easy cleaning

It’s all about making maintenance fast and efficient! Cleaning the slag bins used to be a hassle, but with the V353, that’s a thing of the past. Its cutting base is designed for easy access, needing minimal components to be removed.
