We design
and install many fully automated production lines worldwide, packed with
high-quality hardware and intelligent software. With our Multi System approach,
machines are seamlessly connected via our VACAM software, cross transports,
roller conveyors, product buffers and material sensors. Reijrink
Staalconstructie, a major Dutch steel fabricator, is a prime example of this
approach.
Entering the production hall, you will notice an impressive workshop with a capacity of 35,000 tons production per year. Realized by Voortman machinery with innovative automations. But what does smart factory really mean? How are material flows set up and what choices are made based on analyzed data? Let's take an up-close look at fully automated production in this real smart factory!
INTRODUCING THE KEY ELEMENTS OF SMART FACTORY
ANALYZE AND SIMULATE PRODUCTION DATA
Our analysis of your production data helps us as we pursue important insights. Together, we examine how the available space is laid out, how intra-logistics flows are handled, and how efficient connections can be made to follow-up processes.
Our machines and handling systems are fully modular and can be shifted and reconfigured as many times as needed during real-time simulations with your own production data. Until the most optimal production line has been created.
PROVIDE SMART CHOICES WHILE LOADING AND UNLOADING
Our load balancing tools enable system operators to make smart choices while distributing processes and loads, resulting in a more efficient use of the system's resources.
We provide graphical information on the workload for each area of the production line and also depict how that workload changes as a batch moves through the production line. At the same time, operators can unload and sort profiles directly from the side loader, as output locations graphically display the products per project or per building phase.
THE RIGHT TOOL FOR THE JOB
It is our goal to offer you the best machines for your capacity needs, tailor fitted to your most common production types and quality standards.
The unique feature of our machines is that they're highly versatile. One station can carry out a variety of processes, converting raw profiles and plates into ready-made products. Thanks to their standardized modules, we can combine or even split these 'all-in-ones' into fully automated production lines, depending on your capacity and processing needs.
PAVE THE WAY FOR HUMAN CRAFTSMANSHIP
Voortman equipment allows you to take on larger, more complex projects. Our customers demonstrate that more automation results in the need for more skilled workers. Niche projects with challenging constructions require the experience of crafted human specialists.
Our production lines can support both manual and automatic welding. While automatic welding is fully integrated in the production process, proper logistics with (multiple) output positions allow manual assembly and welding operations to proceed optimally. Combined with an automated processing line, welding operations can be a bottleneck. Therefore, Voortman machines can provide clean and layout marked profiles, to ensure efficient setup with error-free welds and good adhesion.
THE ULTIMATE CAPACITY-BOOSTER
If you are committed to full automation, you can choose to integrate large parts of the welding process into your production line as well. Voortman's fully automatic welding system focuses entirely on the automatic assembly and welding of most (long and heavy) profiles with the most common connection types. It can be used for fitting only or fitting and welding of complete structures.
The large degree of automation enables you to use the engineering process and logistic routings in your workshop more flexibly, increasing your capacity to handle projects with high quantities of common connections.
ERROR-FREE MEANS EASY ASSEMBLY
Keep your workflow free from re-work, time lags, and on-the-spot manual adjustments. Ready-to-assemble products will save you a lot of time and hassle and your pre-calculated costs remain intact.
Therefore, all our solutions are designed with end-users in mind. We offer full support to ensure that even the most challenging processes are accessible to all operators. Easy-to-use control software with a long track record of successful applications is quickly accepted.
With much automations and forced interactions, operators have more time to manage the workshop instead of monitoring production. We value good synergy between man and machine, with a goal to provide you with an error-free assembly where all your end products meet their quality standards.
